Mertin Dont know any details yet, but guy at garage had told my mum/dad that it wasnt the timing belt as it didnt have one. And the chain shouldnt go at 50k Il find out more details but anyone any idea what may have caused it to die? Had to get towed home
Gazza could be the chain mate its around this millage it goes if you have the old oil jet fitted. have a read in the cam chain section. any more details on what actually happened ?
Mertin I will find out tonight, was my mum who I spoke to so you can guess the kind of explanation I got. Its a Y reg 150, could it be the old oil jet?
Gazza yea there is a good chance that it will be the old jet i may be wroung it may not be the chain,but thats what i would think of.
Mertin Local garage had the head off and the chain has snapped. its away to the local vauxhall garage today for further inspection
