confused over exhaust

went in to vauxhall the other week as my car came with a powerflow system on and i was going to put a std one on but vauxhal said they do oen which is £109 (back box) and one wich is 350 (irmscher) went to kwick fit and they made a call and can order one which is a twin pipe for 300 so what is the std exhaust for a astra sri 2.2 hatch? any one got images of theres std?

I think all Sri Astras come with standard Irmscher back boxes, I know the Vectra comes standard with the Irmscher back box fitted. I know these parts are a few quid to buy...

only ones iv ever seen have had the irm ovals on just woundering what vaux where on about as when they said it the bloke didnt seam sure him self.

Is yours an Astra or Vectra? The Astra only has the oval Irmscher back box, the Vectra has 2 types. The Sri model comes with one as standard so it would be best to put one back on :wink: . You may find cheaper ones on Ebay 🙂 . I would also think the Irmscher back box will not fit now seeing you have a Powerflow system fitted, you may have to get the rest of the standard exhaust if your putting it back to standard. 🙂

yeah had that feeling really i wanted to swap my system for a std one.

I bet someone will snap your hands off for a swap, and maybe some cash? Try the For Sale section and say Powerflow system swap for standard system. Thats if you want to what.. 🙂

AS far as I can recall the Astra 1.8 SRi came as standard with just a pea shooter tail pipe. The 2.2 Astra SRi came with the twin oval irmscher back box as standard and the Astra Coupe 2.2 came with a single oval backbox.
