iTunes Help!

Had a problem with the PC over the weekend which resulted in a complete system restore from new, all my music, videos, files ect were lost :roll: Now iTunes comes with the pc pre-installed but for some reason it will not work, i just get the usual send error report message (***** has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience)

I have tried removing the program and reinstalling but the same happens again any ideas?

Do you know what version of ITunes is being installed by default?

Its all sorted now Matt! Quick Time player was causing the problems i think, deleted any files i could find that were named iTunes, iPod and Quick Time. Restarted the PC and re installed version 7 and it now seems to be fine. Strange though as it was working this morning :roll:

Thats PC's for you mate, one file gets shagged, and it can all go tits up.

Yeah there worst than cars sometimes! Bit annoyed that that i lost all my music and films :evil:

Did you keep all the music in the ITunes library folder? I've never kept any music in mine, I keep all mine on a second harddrive for that very reason. At minimum, try putting it on a seperate harddrive partition, which is seperate from the OS.

All the music was in the iTunes folder! Might invest in a 2nd hard drive. I do have approx 4000 tracks on my ipod, are they transferable back to the pc?

Not without getting some special software to enable you to do this. ITunes stores the MP3's in random folders with random file names on the IPOD, so you can't do it manually.
