Maybe someone has already swapped mine at some point but I doubt it. The thermostat on the z22se opens at 82 degrees, I've looked at the spec on the net and the haynes manual states that also. I'll check with Vauxhall on Monday. Other engines have the 92 degree stat fitted, but the z22se has the 82 degree stat as standard (I onyl wish I'd researched this before buying it lol ). Mine runs normally at 88 degrees when warmed up and thats with the standard thermostat fitted, which is what you'd expect if it starts to open up at 82.
I thought the one from courtenay's would be around 72 degrees and run just under 80. They are still selling them on the website. Maybe they've sent me the wrong one? It has 82 degrees stamped on it.
