kevhicken hi recently bought a 02 2.2sri vectra . on start up there is a smell of petrol but goes away,also when been on a run and come back can smell petrol .i cant find any leaks . i have been told it could be the fuel filter .any other poss please .thanks kev
vocky I would check the fuel tank vent system the valve sits on the side of the air filter box and the pipe connects to the inlet manifold - between the throttle body and cam cover
kevhicken hi thanks for the replies , manifold seems ok not blowing , the smell is from the front of the engine to the right as you look at it .
lds1973 take the black cover off the engine, start the engine and watch petrol drip out of the fuel supply line in the middle. The o ring goes on them. Easy fix.
