increase BHP & power on a vectra b 2001...help

hi, im new to this site and im wondering what is the best way for a 51reg vectra b 2.2i SRI 150bhp to get more BHP or power which does work?

remove precat

fit a decent cat back exhaust

fit a panel filter and cold air feeds

that should raise the standard 145bhp up to about 160 bhp

Like Vocky says, also depending on what you want to do a remap will see a few bhp and increase in torque.

Hello mate. Welcome to the site. Anything much over 160bhp requires you to start robbing banks! Have a look at my car in the GARAGE section, that should give you some help. The mods that Vocky has suggested are a good starting point.

these engines are pretty good as standard and the simple bolt-ons will make a feelable difference. But if you are after the big numbers there are just two choices supercharging which runs about 6k or N/A tuning which is quite spendy to reach similar numbers.

I am eventually planning to turbocharge my veccy and I understand Cortnaey Sport is developing a kit as well. So keep us opsted as to how you do.
