avg anti virus

installed this months a go be ok up till today when i get INTERNAL VIRUS DATABASE IS OUT OF DATE ?

checked for all updates and none available so how do i sort this out ?

i read an article recently that all avg free users must totally uninstall the program and then reinstall the new program as they have had to do some recent upgrading and the old program is not compatable anymore, causing virus definitions to be out of date. Hope this helps

i just instaled new version and still get that message.

and the little square in the bottom right you get is black and grey and not green/red ?
