mandarinvx I want to colour my aluminium petrol cap/surround black on the VX. At first I thought of anodising, but after talking to various companies they cannot guarantee the even-ness of the finish (most say it may come out dark purple :shock: ) So next thought was powder coating - but how tough is it? Is it likely to stand up against scratching, and does anyone know if it will wear off if it comes into contact with unleaded fuel? Cheers 🙂
vocky it should be fine, it's quite tough 🙂 you will still need to be careful with the pump nozzle, just like any paint finish
