boothy2_2 has the vectra 2.2 got a torsion rod on the engine? It has been suggested that mine needs looking at cos backbox moves a bit when i boot the engine. i have looked where i have been told where it is but i cant find it! (just under the brake servo attatched to the inner wing), can any one on here give me any suggestions? dunno..
Drakey Can`t answer your question but think I may be suffering the same movement you mentioned. Would be why mine may of sheered earlier than I would have expected. (That an L85 your holding in your signature pic?)

Drakey Thats about the only time I get to hold one, annual training, Oh! and the joys of Guard. Softy me, prefer to fix the jets and send the officers off to war.
Drakey Like the look of the car, the saloon isn`t as common as the hatch which i like, nice tint also.
vocky the 2.2 vec does not have a torsion rod it just has; the front gearbox mount - sometimes go the rear gearbox mount - common fault the engine mount - [sits next to the strut] - not heard of a failure yet
boothy2_2 is it easy to replace the gearbox ones, co every now and again when i boot it i can hear and feel a vibration and sometimes when i decelerate from booting but not when i am driving steady?
vocky I used to say they were a pain to get at, but I noticed that with a standard exhaust manifold fitted access is quite easy  when I had a 4-2-1 manifold, access was tight
boothy2_2 how much do they cost? do you have to get them from the stealers or can you get them any auto factors?
