In dash DVD ...(broken!)

Just got this from Maplin. Only a little 2.5" screen but not bad for £150.
Has output leads to hook up a small camera linked to selecting reverse so you can watch what you reverse into.
Mega bright blue at night with no dimming function which is the only problem, tempted now to change all the dash lights to blue.
Pictures not great, but it has 3 tilt settings and a cover as the facial doesn`t clip off.

Thanks guys, not sure about external screens without trying to find the instructions, for the same price they are now doing a 3.5" model, Gutted!
As you can see its pretty damn BLUE, does anyone know how many bulbs are required to change to whole dash/console to blue, and is it a reasonably straight forward task?

wish I had the spare cash, the 2.5" is a tad on the small side but it`s not too bad.

Thats a neat looking system, really like it.
I only have a USB but like the sound of being able to use an sd card.
Suppose I could use my card reader but dont if the stereo will recognise it. Ill give it a go this weekend 😃

Well.. you pay peanuts.. you get a broken stereo. (theres a old saying in there somewhere) The crappy, hard to use (on these bumpy Norfolk roads!!) joystick thingy that controlled virtually everything has gone limp on me. It has a remote control but that ended up proving to be a real chore to keep using, especially in poor lighting. Ive now got the standard back in and to be honest really quite impressed with the o/p from it.
Dont know if Ill replace it again in the near future but the knackered one was ok and got plenty of use. (great in the summer, windows down, the theme tune to Noddy burting out of the speakers) :oops:

Thats a thought, as the wife would agree though Im a nightmare for paperwork/reciepts etc, tend to file them under b.i.n.
May have some proof of purchase as I ordered it on line, will trawl through deleted emails later tonight, my inital post is dated Feb and was posted very soon after receiving it. cheers..
