A coppa once did that to my old mans ford Granada. Apparently if you smashed the front headlight and shorted the wires inside they would also pop up. But this was about 15 years ago so things have moved on since then.
But here's a strange thing, A few guys on vectra-c.com have opened there car by pressing there bliper down a phone to a mobile phone next to there car and the car has unlocked. So in theory you could open your car hundreds of miles away. Cant get my head round it myself but some guys have tried it and it works and some have failed.
