interior light

got a small problem with my interior light thats bugging me. when i open the drivers door the interior light doesn't come on but the kerb lights do. the interior light comes on when opening the other doors though.

is this down to a faulty door switch or is it something else? i've not had a chance to look at it yet.

sounds like a faulty door switch.

yeah thats what i thought.

i'll swap it over with the passenger side and see what happens.

will be the door switch, the vectra has two pins inside, this keeps the two circuits seperate

ah right, that would explain why the kerb lights work and not the interior light.

On a related note:

Ever since changing my kerb ligths to blue LED dome lights and blowing the fuse for them my map lights (the ones with the buttons) dont work anymore, even though the main light does, but only when the door is open or i pull the light control knob. Ive changed the fuse and all the lights work (kerb lights, glove box, rear map lights etc) but these 2 wont, even with new bulbs. Is there a seperate fuse for them that i cant find or something?

on a vec they have a seperate fuse - F22 + F29

both 22 + 29 have good fuses in 🙁

try another light fitting, there is only those two fuses

ive tried 3 different bulbs in em, they cant all be knackered can they?

And they are the only 2 lights that have refused to work since i blew the fuse changing the door pocket lights

could be blown if it has dunno..

I woulda thought if it had the main light would be connected to it as well and thats working

Ive put blue LED's in the 3 interior lights.
When driving the main one is lit up a dull blue notsure.gif

But lock the car up & it goes out.
The omega light stays on all the time, so at night the car is
illuminated green. (green car for green bulbs)

Must be a vauxhall thing dunno..

could also be the infamous 'multi-timer'

that controls the interior light too
