Irmscher back box flange joint corrosion

1) I no nothing about cars ecept the fuel cap and the accelerator.
2) I love my car
3) I hate spending money.

Ok now i can explain. I have it on good authority that the flange clamps..sounds seedy...have gone on both my backbox and mid section.

Whats the best way of repairing this as the box is mint apart from this?

Whats the deal with cat back sections?

Sorry cars really aint my thing...i dont mean to ask stupid questions...

I had the same problem when i first got my car, the clamp on one side had broken, i had to change the backbox and the centre section.

Perhaps find someone who is selling a second hand backbox and buy a remus centre section from LMF vauxhall as a cheaper option

is grinding the flanges off and welding in a piece an option?

Demon Tweeks sell both half of the flange type fitting all you need to know is the size you need.

I have just found out this has happened to mine but the rest of the back box is fine. anyone know the size and link for demon tweaks so i can get a new one ordered and have it welded up??
