I have never had a ZLET or been in one.

I know Mark had a SRi-T for a while.

I was just wondering how much faster they are in real life, I know the tech spec on both engines.

Just wanted to know your perspective on both models, if there is that much difference between them both in real life driving.

Having the Turbo was different and fun. The power was just there straight of the gas 🙂. I will be getting another one some time this year. I will also be getting a 2.2 for the mrs. The Turbo is easier to tune that the 2.2.

Did they feel miles faster then the 2.2 then? I am intrested in getting one but not sure about having a turbo, i.e letting it cool down etc. and i do lots of miles in the long run will it be a more costly option then my current 2.2 Astra?

ive got this same decision atm, cant decide whether to get a 2.2 (probably be a little dissapointed with performance) or spend a bit more and get a GSi with higher running costs and insurance payments.

The reasons I sold my Turbo was the insurance and fuel costs. I also hated cooling the Turbo down and warming it up, it was a pain. The only other thing that had me worried at the time was if my Turbo ever broke as they do break and new ones need to be bought. They cost about £500 a shot. I will buy one again as they are fun :razz: . I fancy the Mk5 Sri Turbo 5 door in black.

I seem to be changing cars every year since ive been driving so i might give the 2.0 turbo a go and see how i get on. I think im going to have a shock with fuel after the derv though 😃
