a good exhaust

I refitted the standard z22se cast exhaust manifold, downpipe + cat and middle box this morning dunno..

I always downplay power gains BUT my vec feels like it's lost 20 bhp :shock:

so for those non believers, a 4-2-1 stainless manifold, 200 cell sports cat, magnex middle box will add about 20bhp 😃

I'm still in shock how slow it is and how quiet it is :lol:

It still has a ported big valve head, pipercams, ported tb and inlet, k+n air filter..........so how slow is a standard vec 2.2 notsure.gif

I suppose in a few months I will have the answer :lol:

Crickey thats a lot. Wonder if your MPG will increase though?

I think you get used to the power also. Mine was running 138 before a few mods it then ran 156 i thought it was great, 2 months down the line i think it's just average, and looking to get more power.

that's how I ended up with such a quick 2.2, I kept getting used to the power biker.

it gets more and more expensive and all that was left to do was fit throttle bodies dunno..

Then I figured out the best way to gain more power was to loose some weight off the vec, so I bought a vx220 instead :lol:

I would love more power but i think center section and that will be me done really. well maybe :lol:

I would love a 220 but dont think it would like the 65 mile motorway journey every day.

I have a magnex cat back system with oval tailpipe... I love it

the magnex is a very good exhaust, sounds good too 😃

I have a remus (Letter box style) exhaust with racing centre pipe section. I can quite honestly say this is the best exhaust system i have ever owned.
