the wires may have become damaged by the twisting, so fitting new sensor(s) should hopefully cure the problem.
the 'bank 1' (before cat) controls the mixture.
the 'bank 2' (after cat) is for checking the main cat is working.
if the error is high emissions it could be the 'bank 2' reading incorrect, but could also be the 'bank 1' creating high emissions.
you may have to replace both to cure the fault.
