Just been down to my Vaux dealer and spoke with the After Sales Manager. He sat with me and went right through the issue, looking at my details and those specified in the 1532 remedy. The VX Care system showed that my engine was not in the affected range and that even though my Zaf is a 2000 on a X plate, the build model is a 2001 and therefore outside the range anyway.
I got the chap to come outside and listen to the car and to be honest, I really hear that much of a noise anyway. It might just be me being paranoid as the car has nearly done 55k.
Is it right to say that any rattle of an impending chain failure will be quite noisy, deisel like in fact?
So for now, or at least until I'm back working again, I'll not worry about it.
