This remedial works shouldn't cost you anything.
The chain should last the life of the engine and Vauxhall are obliged to change this.
If you have had a full service history with Vauxhall you should not have a problem.
The problem is caused by a blockage to the nozzle (which where originally made from brass). They was then changed to plastic.
Depending on whether the engine came from France (The earlier type) or Belgium will depend on whether you have the problem.
My advice to ANY 2.2 owner with an earlier model is get it checked!Although to be honest, most will have had to go back for re-work by now.
