philip1 how much power can be made out of these engines without touching any internals? it will need to look stockish on the inlet manifold side.
vocky with a ported throttle body and inlet manifold, coupled with a panel filter and cold air feed, precat removed, sports cat and a decent cat-back exhaust..........upto 165bhp a decent exhaust manifold would help some more, maybe 170bhp
philip1 hehehe I'm still gonna get killed this should be fun the class I'm in includes Integras and CivicSI's.
philip1 OK here's what I have so far: Custom WAI (probably will convert to CAI this week), free flowing iron manifold (off of a Cobalt SS), 2.25in exhaust from cat back. coming soon: 2.5in down pipe and cat (off of a Cobalt SS), Big brakesfrom Saab 9000. I have lowered the car 38mm with intrax springs on standard dampers and I have race rubber on the way. I am hoping that these mods will help me supprise a few of my competitors.
xinitialz vocky said: with a ported throttle body and inlet manifold, coupled with a panel filter and cold air feed, precat removed, sports cat and a decent cat-back exhaust..........upto 165bhp a decent exhaust manifold would help some more, maybe 170bhp will these xtra bhp be felt through the whole rev range? or just mid rev so it feels faster and drives nicer but in reality when sprinting there wont be much diff?? like for example 0-60mph times and stuff cuz im planning to dothose mods with a lexmaul exhaust manifold with integrated sportscat and chipping. The german tuning company im going to promises 170 hp and a little bit more torque but im not guna spend my money on it without some info 1st cheers..
vocky it should pull nicely all the way through the rev range without cams once cams are fitted the power range moves up the rev range, so good power from 3000 rpm >
philip1 I can tell with just the few things I've done the car is WAYquicker to 60 and has a great midrange punch.
