"Fast-knocking noise" under the hood

Hello all,

After I installed a K&N K57i, I hear a "knocking/ticking" noise under my hood.
It appears to be this part:

Here you see it situated:

After some research it seems to be a sort of pump, which brings te remaining gasses in the fueltank to the engine (or something like this).
I allready fastened it on different ways, but the noise comes always back ..
Has anyone has/had this too or does anyone knows a solution?

it is the fuel tank vent valve, might be worth using some rubber to insulate the noise from the chassis

It is quite simple to extend the hoses and cable so as you can put it in the wheelarch and cable tie it onto the carbon canister, remove the wheelarch liner completely as it hurts your hands and arms trying to work in that area with it in place. Doing this will make it a quieter.
