get them replaced, they are only a few pounds each + fitting

they might look fine, but the rubber hides the wear and a new pair will hopefully get rid of the noise 🙂

Hi everyone,

sorry for resurrecting this topic but I am facing similar problem. I have my Vectra 2.2 CD for almost one year and during this time some knocking noise developed and now is very loud if driving over bumps or uneven surface. I have replaced 4 rose bushes but problem persists. I always thought knocking appears at the back but it can be heard from front as well. What shall I check or possibly buy and replace. Would I need any special tool for? Is there anything rusty what I would have to buy new before replacing? I suppose ARB bushes are worn but don't know what size as on the ebay I can buy various sizes. ARB at the back is approx 18mm thick.

it is usually the anti roll bar linkage bolts
or the bush holding the suspension arm to the underside of the chassis

get a big flat headed screwdriver and pul lthe bush and bolt apart on the suspension arms to try replicate the noise

u got to remember the suspension arms were used on calibras and astra / cavs etc and i have had same problems

Hi guys, still need help from you. I have decided to change ARB drop links either in front as well at the back and need to get the right ones. Also want to change bushes on the ARB front back and need to know the right size. I have measured I have approx. 19mm thick front ARB and 17.5mm thick rear ARB. First of all, is there anything particulary difficult what I should bear in ming during exchange (eg. change bolts, grease with something special etc.)? I want to get everything from ebay if possible and not to spend fortune.

I have a set of genuine vauxhall front and rear bushes which I never fitted to my veccy B 2.2 sri, I fitted uprated items instead

you can have them for £10 + £2 postage

I would also advise to buy genuine drop links, they last much longer than the pattern ebay ones, about £16 each from the dealer
