How sad am i, (all my cleaning products)

Just purchased a new schmitt as i suspected my wash mitts was causing defects (swirling). I then decided to sort all my stuff out.

Didnt realise how much stuff i had.

I need to get out more!

Some nice stuff there. all my stuff gets thrown ina carrier bag, and chucked under the stairs. I've got those meg polishing pads all over the place.

along the road, car is splashed with mud and cowsh as they just
drop it on the road. Stinkin moo's.

For swirl removal by machine it would have to be poorboys SSR2.5 then the Megs machine Glaze #80 seems to work best for most paint finishes i have come across.

My favorite wax has to be Harlys it's great stuff and lasts ages.

by hand though
I would reccomend

good wash i use a suds blaster gun to pre wash the car.
Then a good mitt and two buckets one with clear water to rinse the mitt.
Dry the car with weavel woffle towel like the megs water manet or other to help prevent swirling.
I would then poorboys EX-P
top off with Harlys wax or poorboys nattys blue wax.

If there was paint defects I.E swirling any you want to mask them best stuff i have found is turtle wax colour magic i would then top off with harlys or poorboys wax.

Cow poop is awful stuff! but on a highly polished car it comes off so much easier.

As said Harlys is a really nice wax, you can pick it up for about £15 a tin now too.

Jatie - you may want to look at OCW spray wax, the one in the blue spray bottle is makes star silver look amazing.

Seriously? My car is in a right state at the minute, and needs a bloody good clean, don't mind shoving a few ££ your way, as the valet we have a work is crap.

I dont mind, depends what you are after, standard wash / wax or de-swirl etc. only issue is weather this time of year.

Yeah thats cool, would pref want a de-swirl, and don't mind waiting till the warmer months, as there is no point this time of year.

Thats fine, this time of year detailing is a nightmare with all the salt and road grime and bad weather cond's. Would be good to meet up, as soon as weather improves lets meet up.

For met black, This method works really well if you want to mask the swirls (alot of detailers dont like it) but it does the job if you can not de-swirl by machine. I do this with my paint working during winter when i can not de-swirl and want to make my paint work look fresh.

Wash with a good Mitt / new schmitt
Polish - turtle Wax colour magic apply with megs applicator pad and buff with a good micro fiber cloth this will mask swirls and make the flake pop out.

You have a few options now but this time of year i would would just top with a good wax ( poorboys nattys blue this is really good on dark paint)

ah another detailer I see, Im also a Porter cable owner and must say i share the obsession 😃 Nice collection youve got there mate, must say Im a fan of the Poorboys stuff, not only because of the great results but also because of how good it smells!
