Whats my car worth?

My girlfriend and a few others think im crazy to consider it, especially after a remap, remus, and cosmetic bits, to the tune of 700 quid, BUT a m8 of mine is hounding me to buy it (called me twice today).

Its a 2.2 coupe (star silver)
Remus with centre pipe £270
remap £293
Blaupunkt ice £250
s/s grille £79
other small interior mods (lmf)
50,000 miles
excellent cond
michelin and goodyear tyres on standard mint rims
full vx history (up to me owning it)
Oh and i cant forget a new timing chain to the tune of £493.

The thing is i want to know if i can sell this and pick up a mint coupe turbo about the same age for not much more money?

your advice will be greatly appreciated

The cheapest Coupe Turbo is about £4500. Funny enough I have just been looking at them lol. Just give him a daft offer and see if he takes it. I don't know what year your car is so I don't know whats it's worth yet. The mods you have on your car still don't help out to get more money, most people prefer standard. If it's a mate then you will be ok 🙂

The cheapest 2.2 I could find in a nation wide search was £2,995. That had 90.000 miles on it. A one with a little more miles than yours showing 60k on a 52 year is asking £3,495

Just found a 2.2 Coupe with 50k miles going for £3,995. And then again I have just found a 2.2 Coupe with 100,000k miles on it asking £4,795 on an 02 plate

sorry forgot to mention its jan 2002 (51plate) if i was to sell it would have to be a mint example about the same age and milage and prefrably standard but can only find turbos from stealers with full vx history and they are way too steep

probably worth £3500 - 4250, depending on what someone is prepared to pay

generally the coupe is more sort-after than the 3 door, so worth a bit more

I cant belive thats all there worth these days? such a gorgeous car and what with a fully galvo'd chassis and body your getting an absolute bargin! Just done a search of the tradder myself, I was geting worried, luckily still recon I'd get somewhere near £7000 for mine. I'd ask your mate for £6000, in light of the work and see what he says? otherwise its not worth the hastle to you.

trouble with car prices is you can buy a 06 plate 1.8vvt vec sri for £9k now :shock:

on auto trader they are going for £3.5k - £5k, but that's forecourt prices

so private, it will be less notsure.gif

I would personally ask £5k for it and haggle, but christmas/new year is not a good time to sell
