i fitted my k&n panel filter on crimbo eve nobody said that getting the lid off the airbox is a bloody nightmare (the four clips that hold it on are easy its getting it out of the engine bay), anyway got it off and removed the restrictive pipe on the outlet side and cut back the intake pipe refitted it all back together. I think its had a positive effect it seems to pull a lot stronger mid revs, but i also checked my spark plugs they are the ngk ones , im going to swap them as soon as i can get some vx ones .
im a little bit worried though , the plugs were black and very sooty meaning a rich mixture or a worn engine its only done 56k what type of condition are other peoples plugs , if its a rich mixture the ecu should surely adjust the mixture so its ok
