Its not good news!

The ECU is effectivly locked for that car, it needs the correct key/transponder to unlock it.
Plus the car was involved in a frontal imapct that broke the exhaust manifold

I was advised to stay away from buying that guys items by one of the admin from the other site. :roll:

but id like to buy it... what would be needed if i did bother to buy it and fit it?

would i still be able to drive my car with this fitted without anything else?

On the other site they said the ecu is no good without the key of the original car it came from. notsure.gif

Yes you would need his Ecu key and ignition barrel reader. It's a good bit of kit but may be more trouble than it looks, you may get all the parts you need but it may not work notsure.gif . Or you could buy it and get your own Ecu programed to it. I would still think your car will run with it fitted, it just won't be tunned to the spec it needs to be with that new kit.

I might go for it... ive just emailed the manufactures of this product to find out what the other small parts that go with it are, and also to find out what information i can get about the remapping of a ecu after this is fitted.. hope they come back to me before the sale finishes.

note how the seller states the fuel consumption does not get effected yet if you read the same txt that hes copied from the site it says it does. notsure.gif

the site sells it with other small parts what.. i havent a clue what they are!

He has the main part for sale that costs the most, the new re map should be about £250 I would think notsure.gif . It's a good bit of kit but I would make sure you probably go to pick it up seeing he's had trouble with his other items what.. . If all goes well and he re funds the others then he would probably post it no problem. Good luck

Mark ECU Question

Where can i get the equipment to remap a ecu.?.

I hate the thought of having to pay out all that money on a remap.

Ive got a power commander unit on my R1 that i hook up to my laptop and i can upload different variations of settings, cant we get out hands on something like this for our motors mate?

Not sure mate, Dbilas may be able to help out with that. Regal have alot to do with Dbilas so they may have the Dbilas map for that part you want to buy 🙂

Lucky i missed this when i was at work diblas mailed me and said i needed this that and the other, plus the ecu mod too may aswell buy it new the price it was went for :shock:

I think it will struggle without the ecu mods

the alloy inlet manifold I had made was based on a similar design as the dbilas and the ecu went into limp mode when the inlet was fitted :cry:

Yeah its me who bought the manifold,

I picked it up this morning.

The person selling claimed that they didnt know that the white box in the picture wasnt the ECU and when i informed that it wasnt they refused to budge on the final sale price.

So i am now contacting Ebay about a fraudulent/misleading ad and see what happens from there.

I contacted regal and the manifold will give 10-13bhp on its own and the Dblias map is £300 or Dblias will do it for 500 euro, but they need my ECU.

I told everyone in previous posts that isnt the ecu, and that seller was aware of that. He was informed when he tried to sell it in astrasport forum. Everyone pointed out that white unit was somthing to do with the window washers or something lol

Mate i would of had him up for that the pri*k, i would of took the manifold walked over to my car and drove of with it without paying. That bwoyss a ct for doing that to you knowingly.
