Hi guys i want to do an engine transplant to my astra coupe, i want to dump the 2.2 for the 3.2 v6 you get in the vectra. do you know if this be poss? Any feedback would be great thanks. dunno..

Don't see why it couldn't be done. Shame on you for dumping the 2.2 though.

M-Tech should be able to help you out with engine mount conversion parts and drive shaft components. Obviously you'd have to change the loom and stuff like that.

Anything's possible. They can fit a V6 in a Corsa.

2.2 144bhp standard.....3.2.... 208 bhp standard,,,

The 3.2 V6 (Z32SE) produces 208 BHP and 221 Lbs/Ft of torque as opposed to the 2.2 (Z22SE) 144 BHP and 149 Lbs/Ft of torque.

I would imagine that it would be quite a task fitting the 3.2 into an Astra.

About 55 to 60 horses. But a hell of a lot more weight! You'll also have to upgrade the suspension and the breaks. You've also got the canbus to contend with, but with that silky smooth v6 burble it might just be worth it.

I would stick a supercharger on the 2.2, probably work out cheaper and easier dunno..

What can i do instead? I don't want to supercharger the engine and don't want to just but a super chip or cam kit on the engine, as people have already done this! Any suggestions? dunno..

fit throttle bodies, 200+ bhp and about £3k fitted

Regal Autosport for a Turbo kit. That hasn't been done yet and it starts from about £3900.

Would the engine be able to handle a turbo being fitted? To be honest i've got 4k to spend, and was hoping to do something different to engine and gain as much power as poss. :?

Bloody hell yes!! Turbo power will get you into the 240BHP area. Thats no problem for the 2.2 engine. Clutch will need uprating though. The Z22SE engine is used in drag cars in America.

I know that makes it no easier to understand. For example, instead of the stereo having a constant + and an ign + to turn it on, the ecu sends pulses like morse code down the wire to turn it on. One wire can operate multiple things. TBH is a pain in the arse, mine is half canbus but the later c's are full canbus. It just means that its soooooo hard to fit things yourself.
