What problems have you had with your 2.2 since you owned it? I had Ecu problems and my Maf sensor went before that.

After having the car for 3 weeks, the Cat and Center section decided to rot away! Thats about it (fingers crossed)

Thats when a nice sports cat and cat back system comes in handy 😃 . Did the new cat cost much?

I got it from a local back street compaany, The Cat was about £80, and the center section was £40, plus an hours labour at £25!!!! so I couldn't complain!

How do you know when your mass airflow meter has gone?

Your car runs crap, it cuts out alot and it even had my traction playing up :? . I took it to Vauxhall and they said I had 3 sensor problems, but one of them could be making the other 2 play up. They then told me it was just the Maf sensor :roll: . With it making 2 other sensors playing up I don't know what the main Maf sensor would do when faulty notsure.gif

i've had to flexi's split on me, passenger side engine mount gone and thats about it really.

the z22se doesn't have a MAF sensor :shock:

it has a MAP sensor 🙂

Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor

basically it detects the vacuum in the inlet manifold

whereas the MAF detects flow

:oops: Sorry my fault, just checked my recipt and it was a Map sensor :lol: .

A. Carried out Tech 2 test £34.04

Engine management light on constantly , car didnt run any different but turned out to be my engine wiring loom at fault , luckily enough i had 2 months of the 3 yr warrenty left so was paid for at the dealers.. 🙂

Thats a strange fault to have notsure.gif . I bet your glad it was under warrenty still 😃

Bloody was mate, was a nitemare as it was in once and they said theyd done it, got about 2 miles from the dealers and it came on again, so they had it back said theyd ordered the part, so i sent it back in to find they`d got the wrong parts after they had stripped it, so then had to wait a month or so and i heard nothing back so a after a call to vx cust services did the trick, it was found that the dealer hadnt ordered the correct part again and they checked this on the system, they found there was none in the uk etc etc....... But did get it done in the end. after the 3 yrs warrenty had run out, but the prob started about 2 months before the end of the warrenty if that makes sense. 🙂

Air con pipe split..(even with the modded bracket)

Cylinder Head Cracked (repair or burn!! Decided to repair)

Ex Manifold Cracked

Air bag warning light due to seat belt pre tensioner wiring under passenger seat (twice) Tech 2 to sort.

Its a 2001 coming up to 100k Full service history with DIY oil and filter changes every 4k. Owned it for 2 years... would gladly have set fire to it 18months ago but love it to bits now...drives brilliant.
