Gazza well went out to get a goldfish the other day ended up getting a big tank then today went back and got these 😃
Matt Nice Gaz, we were looking at getting one before we got our fish tank, but were put off by the sales person. Are they much work looking after?
Gazza no mate easier to keep than tropical fish as long as you have a good filter on the tank you cant go wroung they are so fun to watch 😃
JohnnyN I had terrible trouble with mine. They f*uckin stank!! I had an under gravel filter system as recommended by the chap in the shop. I had them 3 weeks and I took them back. I then started keeping tropical fish. That was 15 years ago and I've still got my tropical tank now. Good luck mate.
Gazza to be honest mate under gravel are not much good in my eyes i had one on a small tropical set up and it was not a cheap 1 and it was pants the big external filters are the way to go and i have 2 of them here 1 hooked up allready 😃
JohnnyN I have to agree with you there mate. I have a EHEIM external filter on my tank. Its much easier to maintain and it keeps everything tip top.
Matt If I had the room on the side of my tank, I'd also go for an external filter for my tropical tank. The internal one is a bitch to clean/maintain.
