need simple advice on cam replacement

Ok i nearly booked my coupe in for a unichip after recomendations but then uprated cams was suggested, so looking in to it a bit more ive got hooked on this idea now (girlfriend is behind me sighing!)
The thing is, ive looked on piper's site, courtenys, and regal. the last 2 imo seem stupid money for supply and fitting. The problem i have is, ok i can get the cam from piper but being a noob i dont know what else i will need i.e followers, valve springs e.c.t AND i will have to send my cams to be reprofiled meaning the car is off the road and that isnt an option for me as i cant do without it for more than a day or 2!
So can anyone point me to someone who i can take the car to and have the necesary stuff supplied and fitted in 1 go?
I realised this will cost a bit more using totally new cams(Courtenys prices are puke.. ) Also i understand head modification may have to be done.

you only need the cams with pipercams, the followers are roller and don't need changing

try and get a spare set of cams, then Benny could swap them for you - maybe dunno..

not with pipercams, they are a direct replacement 🙂

the double valve springs can require the head modifying

I've had pipercams in mine for nearly 2 years, no problems so far 🙂

I called piper the other day about sending them my spare set for re-grind. Unfortunatly they've started moving the workshop over xmas and said there could be a delayed turnround. The chap said If I send them in the new year they should be back to normal and I could get them back in two or three day's! so Im gonna wait till then, that way theres no chance of em geting misplaced in the shakeup. There open from the 2nd January, so until then, Im driving round with a rather naughty sounding chain :shock: fingers crossed it holds out! :lol:
