nuts!

Hi All

I just got some alloys to replace the boring steel wheels on my Zaf. Got a set of 4 off an Omega Elite for £6 off ebay in good condition. Even the missus could not give me too much ear ache about that :-)

Anyway the question is do I need new wheelnuts or will my existing ones be OK? The wheels have a cover over the nuts so looks are unimportant its just that I don't want them to fall off a few weeks down the line.

While on the subject my current front tyres (Conti Eco Contacts) have bugger all grip and I am always spinning the wheels when pulling away. They are really bad in the wet. Any recomendations on a sensible tyre with decent lifespan and price that has some decent grip.

£6... thats a bargin mate :shock: They should go straight on with your existing wheel bolts, as for rubber there are lots of brands out there, the best ive had so far are toyo proxis, excellent grip and with still a good amount of tread after 16 months!

Genuine Vauxhall wheels will have steel inserts in the wheel where the bolts go thru'. Your existing bolts will be fine.
