Fitted my quickshift kit this morning.

Well I Was expecting trouble with this one but Iwas wrong, three hours start to finish!!!!!!!! Did I get lucky ??

Anyone else fitted theirs themselves yet. I know some people have had them fitted at garages, but I did not have too much of a problem.

I have taken some piccys and will be sendingt hem to gazza to put up a howto on this mod.

It makes a fantastic difference to driving the car.

Sounds an interesting mod :wink: . I may look into this at a later date. Look forward to seeing the pictures thumbup . It would be nice to know what the driving difference feels like 😃

The driving difference is pretty amazing really. There is very little travel between the gears, very precise change now. It feels really good.

I would have to say that this is one of the best mods for improving the driving of the car.

For £65 and a few hours work it's a bargain.

got my quick shift on sat so gonna try to fit it on next sunday hope its not difficult it came with instructions and photos of how to fit them on. hopefully i shouldnt come accross any problems 😃

Hi KiddSRi,

The instructions it comes with show it being fitted to a VX220, great but the Astra has a socking great ABS unit right above where you need to get to.

Hopefully my how to will be up on here early this week. Take a look at this before you start the job.

It's not too bad a job, just have to persevere a bit. Good luck.

just went to local garage and they wont £150 to fit i nearly fell over with :shock:

how much do you think vauxhall would charge to fit it ?

£150 .... wow thats about £50 an hour. It took me just under three hours to fit and I'm good with cars, but no proffesional mechanic.

I would imagine Vauxhall would be around the same cost, may be slightly more.

It will fit all 2.2 cars mate as we have cable boxes :wink:
