air box help please

I have just attempted to do the air box mod on my 2001 vectra sri 2.2. I can only see one pipe going into the box and one pipe going out to the throttle body. Are the 2 resonator pipes on the inlet to the air box? or do I have them at all?
Up to now I have cut back the pipe inside the air box on the inlet side and removed the restrictor on the outlet side.
Can you please help me and do you advice that I get the bigger outlet pipe of the diesel vectra aswell.

the other bit is just to cut the end off the resonator pipe, this sits below the main pipe, behind the grille

won't make much difference, you've done the most important parts

If you remove the front bumper you can also get to the resinator box under the front wheel arch liner. You can remove this too.

thanks for both your replies but i am sorry I am a bit lost.

where is the resonator in the system? is it on the fresh air intake or the throttle body intake?
I cant see any other pipe comming off my air box, is it underneath?

From the replies i think it looks like under the air box is the resonator and I can remove this box yes? or just the pipe?

I am lost sorry.

it's the fresh air intake, it comes out the side of the main intake

you can just bin the box

the box fits directly to the circled pipe in the lower pic, held on with 2 screws

let me get this right then, the resonator comes off the bottom of the fresh air intake and all I have to do is remove it from the pipe stick down.

simple as that, except the bumper needs to come off rofl..

am I right in thinking the bumper is four screws, 2 at each wheel arch?
or is there more than that to it?

to remove bumper,

remove grille - 3 screws
remove the single bolt, each side, that holds the bumper to the headlight
remove the four clips that hold the bumper to the subframe
remove the front wheels
remove the front wheel arch liners
remove the single T25 bolt which holds the bumper to the body
the bumper then just pulls forward and it's off 😃

should take about 30 minutes to remove what..

you can remove the T25 bolts without removing the wheel arch liner, but believe me..IT HURTS :cry:
and it's about 30 minutes quicker to just remove the wheel arch liners, as the bolts are very difficult to get to with the liner in place
