richard ive justed checked my anti freeze strengh and it only gives protection down to -12 which means its weak and needs changing question is do any of you use a special anti freeze?if so what is it and where do you get it and how much does it cost please or is it ok to use any anti freeze from a motor factors as long as its for alloy engines any ideas please
Baz get some from vx mate not that dear either 2 litres for about £6 you have to buy 2 1litres from them
JohnnyN From what I was reading in my new Haynes manual, Vauxhall recommend the use of 'Green' coolant in vehicles made before May 2001 and 'Red' coolant in vehicles made from May 2001 onwards. :roll:
Daz Use the red it has corrosion inhibiters in,need these due to the engine being ali, and dont mix red with any other type 2..
richard thanks guys for help ive been on comma oils website and they do xstream red longlife protection antifreeze 5year protection which i can get from wilco car spares just down the road from me so thinking ill use that
