windows xp

i got this laptop and it is asking me for a username and password to log onto windows but my brother never set one up,any way i thought if i reinstall xp it would sort it out

but i dont have the disk to do it any ideas ?

have you tried just pressing enter when it asks for username and password?

yea

if i put my brothers name in it start up and make s the sound windows does when starting

then a little box pops up loading settings i get all excited

then with in 5 secounds another box pops up and says saving settings and it makes the noise of windows logging off

then the username and password screen comes back up

That sounds like something is corrupted with windows.

well think its a scraper

tried loads of things and nothing works looks like its dead,and i dont have the windows xp disk to reinstall it :cry:
