vocky looks pretty good to me 😃 you just need to swap the screws to countersunk items, gives a little bit more flow also you could do with removing the egr pipe before you fit it, then you will get the most from the venturi effect you've created 😃
Daz Will prob do away with the egr pipr...only prob i had was i just touched up by the butterfly...oops...only a nick...hope it dont cause any probs... The ribe i had was bit coarse too,so took away most of the material with that then had to use some emery cloth to get it smooth...then polished it with a wire wheel..
Daz Fitted it today...seems to have made a big difference to the throttle response... Combind with taking of the egr pipe,it seems to pop and gurgle alot more and louder now

vocky it does make the throttle response much better 😃 also it makes the throttle body a better shaped venturi, this speeds up flow into the inlet manifold

charlie_b throttle body Im also thinkin bout doin this daz but not sure how much 2 take of. drool.gif
Andy_Z22SE_SRi Daz... see when you ported the tb did you taper the orifice of the tb or is it parallel all the way down to the butterfly valve? And is it done on both sides of the butterfly? Cant quite tell from the pics, and Ive no seen it done before. Good effort though... its defo got me wanting to do the same! lol drool.gif
Daz I went straight m8,and its on both sides....took a little to much of in one spot and had poor idle for a bit but its settled now...
Andy_Z22SE_SRi So its just basically reaming it out all the way down to the butterfly? I take it you would need a pillar drill to do that? Where did you take too much off like, so that the idle was wonky? And how much material did you remove? Sorry for all the questions lol Cheers! cheers..
Daz I used a die grinder with a file attachment,,the area i took a bit much off was close to the butterfly,,and as for how much i just took down to wen i thought it was enuff tbh...
vocky the port should be tapered from the top edge down to the butterfly do not remove any material from near the butterfly the most material removed is about 3mm, but mostly between 0.5 and 1mm
