Turned on the ignition today and could hear a clicking coming from the wiper mechanism, the wipers were 1/2 inch away from full return, it seemed the motor could not return them to the off position, a quick nudge downwards on the wiper arm and the wipers moved to off and the noise stopped.
On a dry ish screen they will not close off completely without pushing the final part of the stroke, with a wet screen they return, the motor clicks for a second and then stops.
Tried WD40 of the wiper mechanism.
Anybody else had this, could it be the gear on the wiper motor, if so is it main agent only for the this part?
