hi guys this is my first post here! im a premium member of vvoc, think its great theres a forum just for the 2.2 engine! 🙂
anyways...
just wondered if its just my 2.2 sri thats runnin sh1te atm!
- i get an average of 18.9mpg, admitedly that is round town but it is poor right?
- i get about 7mpg whatever way i am drivin until im in 3rd at about 30mph.
it sounds like it blowing, i had a new cat put on a few weeks back but it never been right since then, i took it back to the garage that fitted it who told me it isnt blowing?!!
- could it be sounding like this because of the cold?
another thing...the clutch seems really lumpy and allllways has! you have to really be carefull to get smooth gearchanges.
- is this a characteristic of the car? * **
i mean in my old 1.8, you could sorta not concentrate on perfect gear changes and it would always be a smooth transition, but not the case in the 2.2
I bought the car at 31,000 miles but im seriously thinking the car has been clocked.
- anyways of finding this out?
oh...sorry for the long post. i have made an effort to split it up! any input from vocky or any other 2.2 experts? lol
btw....my timing chain hasnt been done and i dont kno if it does need doing. its on 37k now i think?
anyways...any advice would be great!! 🙂
