Found this snipped of wire, where could it connect?

It was at the most bottom in the front of the engine and it goes up to the main loom (injectors, ecu, etc). Could this be oil pressure sensor in bottom oil pan? Previous oil pan didnt have any sensors, but after cracking mine and getting a used one there is a sensor that has wires cut off

If the wires lead to the sump it will be the oil level sensor, which is located inside the sump. The sensor is used with the MFD (multi function display)

The oil pressure switch is screwed into the front of the cylinder block, behind the starter motor.

What colour are the two wires?

I found it by an ECM pin out that it is "25pin H1.22 Temperature Indicator - Coolant"
How necssasary is it?

check see if you have wires going to the temp sensor, rear of engine follow big water pipe to thermostat its just around corner in the thermostat housing ,would explain why its running crap,,

That coolant temperature sensor has a connector and is working (i hope because I see engine temp on my dash). This wire was in the front of the engine, at the bottom of the radiator

must be the oil level sensor like kevinh said,, don't know if all z22se had it or not ????

Nah nah As I said I traced it back with a multimeter and it's "H1.22 Temperature Indicator - Coolant", but I wonder maybe it's somehwere in the radiator?

Could it be from the IAT (Inlet Air Temperature) Sensor according to the wire colours Bn/Bk & Bn/Gn.

the Crankshaft Sensor (Bn & Bn/Gn) which is mounted on the front of the cylinder block just above the starter motor.

Thank you both for replying and looking into it! As I mentioned before I connected the snipped wire to my multimeter and with the other multimeter end I probed my (left) ECM connector and I found that it beeped when I touched the 25th pin. The Speedster PDF stated that the 25th pin is for "H1.22 Temperature Indicator - Coolant", but I can't find anything like that for my Astra G Coupe. Autodata has no Wiring Diagram for my coupe, only for Zafira A and Vectra B with Z22SE Engines.

"just above the starter motor. " there are two sensors and two ground wires which were connected and those connectors are fine. "IAT (Inlet Air Temperature)" is a lot higher and in seperate loom which is also fine and was connecter where it should.

I will provide more pictures in the evening or tomorow, I would really like to resolve this fully

I also remembered that while probing this wire - three of the ECM pins beeped, it could also be shorted somewhere.. Will have to seriously look into that. Will even post a video later

So it should be really easy for you to find out where these loose wires should be connected from a process of elimination by checking connectivity of all the sensors e.g. oil level sensor, crankshaft sensor, knock sensor ..etc

You keep mentioning 'H1.22 Temperature Indicator - Coolant' but it can't be that as the wires are Bu/Rd & Bn (blue/red & brown) and you say the CTS already has a connector to it anyway.

Ill post a video as soon as it finishes uploading. Im sure they're shorting somewhere because both of the leads are shorting to each other and both of the leads connect with 3 different ECM pins

Update: This connector (that goes to the other ECM loom) is somewhere shorted. The three pins on the right are shorted to eachother. So for now I cannot trace back those two wires because they go through this connector

The Black, Brown and Brown Green are shorting together
