Rick201i I'm looking at bike carb conversion .one thing throws me abit and that's will the 2004 astra pass an emissions test on bike cars ? Second of all cars with aftermarket management. How do they get on come mot time with no mil light present at mot?
corsaZ22se Most decent stand alone ECU's have the option to have a MIL light. If its all set up right it should pass mot. I had a 2.0L 16V X20XEV Corsa B on ITB's running 280* with 12.5mm lift Kent cams @226bhp/176lbft. that passed mot....................... just!

Interesting.what year was the corsa and did you have the lambda sensors in place.
corsaZ22se 1998 yes it had lambda in, it needed it for mixture control. also had the cat in. guess with carbs you will not need a lambda as you will only be controlling spark with ECU? possibly idle rpm as well?
Rick201i Yeah with bike carbs I wouldn't need lambda to run them .but have in said that come mot time that might be an issue because I should have one present
corsaZ22se Speak o someone who does MOT testing to get the answer. or download and read the current MOT rules?
