Engine squeak when hot

Hi all
Wondered if you could help, have a vx220 with the z22se in and I'm trying to solve a squeaking noise I have.
With the engine at above 90c I get a squeaking noise that sounds just like an aux belt squeal. I have removed the belt but it's still there.
I have listened with a stethoscope and the noise comes from the bell housing wherever there is a gap, having had the box out and inspected everything including renewing the slave cyl I'm now at a loss as to the cause.

Any thoughts ?

sounds like metal on metal rubbing. only way to find out what it is, is to take the box out again and have a look for polished metal.

sound painful. lack of oil pressure/changes?

Can't hear that though in the block with the stethoscope.

Diced Roth death and removed the starter while running. Not that, the noise is from the bell housing though. Box off again then !

Box out nothing to see on either clutch or flywheel. Dam and blast

Update to this. Ran the engine with the box out and noise still there.

Changed water pump to rule out and did as Vocky suggested with balance delete, noise still there.

Now changed the engine and the noise persists.

Noise comes from no4 cyl block area any ideas I'm pulling my hair out.

Ok to close the loop on this.

Found my issue and could genuinely kick myself, basically the car is supercharged and as you all no doubt know that means that its undesired to feed the rocker cover breather back into the intake as it oils up the laminovas.

So what i did was to run a long hose out the rocker cover to the rear of the car, in my wisdom i thought the pipe would get dirty and gritty in the end so I fitted a rubber flap type end on it with a smaller outlet. Problem was under extended periods of idle the engine sucked this closed and the noise started which turned out to be the engine sucking air in through the rear main seal.

I have now fitted a catch can so the engine can breathe air again both ways.

Could I thank you all for your input especially Neil (Vocky) who i had many conversations with, he must have rolled his eyes when he found out what had happened.
