I have just purchased an Accumate Battery Charger/Conditioner to keep my battery tip-top on the car whilst I'm not using it. I got fed up with getting in the car and it only just turning the engine because the car hasn't been out for a while. I paid £38 inc. P&P from the link below. I ordered mine on Sunday afternoon and I received it today (Tuesday morning).

The Accumate monitors the condition of the battery when first connected and then charges the battery accordingly. It will feed a charge until the battery is is fully charged and then it will cut in and out with a trickle feed. It is completely safe to leave connected indefinately as that is what it is for. Life support for your engine!!
