Yep while driving, tbo i never noticed till i popped the bonnet t do my bi-weekly fluid checks n as i looked in the bay upon lifting the bonnet i was like summit aint rite here lol.
Took a minute or two t figure out what it was but the top. Mount washer was missing and it was sat on the leg near engine.
Ive seen many broken springs / leaking shocks n so on but never a shock that sheared the top off of it before.
As u say probably just unlucky but it prompted me to buy a decent set up at least.
