I've been about for a while and found lots of info on hear very helpful over this time, i now need some more specific help, i've just found that the fuel lines on my vectra b 2.2 z22se are leaking as they come from under the car into the engine bay and i have tried searching around with no luck and from what little i have found they may not be available anymore.

Can any of you wise people advise me what i can do or do i have to commit the car to the scrap yard?

The fuel pipes should still be available to source for a Vectra B.
Have you tried AutoVaux? (www.autovaux.co.uk or www.genuinepartsearch.co.uk)

Here are some GM part numbers from EPC for you:

Pipe, fuel feed, with hose, front - 24438096
Pipe, fuel feed, with blue connector, fuel filter to fuel pipe, underbody - 90499802
Hose, fuel feed to reservoir - 9157561 (if required, this part could be more difficult to source)
