So after rebuilding the head after the timing chain had snapped with new valves ect the car has done 6000 miles no drama maybe using more oil than it should. After not using it regularly the car has developed a misfire at all rpm and when it warms up its very prominent to the point where the engine nearly cuts out due to the low rpm of these engines at idle. Ive fitted new plugs and tested the ignition module triggers to coil using a test light and I'm getting a pulse for coil 1-4 and 2-3 so i know the ignition driver is working.
Is there a test to check the coils as the only resistance i get is 4k and this is between coils ?
Ive got a coil pack on order just incase and I'm going to do a compression test in the week but any advise for testing the coils would be helpful
