Ivan Hi,i what to get rid of dual mass flywhell,its so expensive,the car is Astra G Bertone. I hear that Vectra B have z22se with single mass flywheel,can i make straight bolt-on conversion ? What conversion will be most easy/adequate ?
vocky not many Astra G have a Dual Mass Flywheel (y) You can swap a Dual Mass Flywheel to a normal flywheel, but you would need to swap the gearbox because the Clutch slave cylinder sits further away from the flywheel with a DMF.
Dave_Gilbert I didn't know any astras had dual mass. My vectra c has a astra g box and flywheel Works a treat 😉
Dave_Gilbert As far as I know all astra z22se came with smf with f23 box. No mk4 had 6 speed My vectra is a lightened astra flywheel with a c20let clutch and f23 out a mk4 astra and a mk4 astra csc. All I had to do was drill and tap 1 hole so it worked with my vectra rear mounting

Ivan The engine have changed one piston,timing chain,injectors,conrod bearings,head,segments. This rebuild worries me.
