Z22se Exhaust manifold

I've a Vectra B Sri 150 (z22se) and am looking for a standard exhaust manifold as mine has developed a crack (n) I could also use a cat if there's any going but I plan to buy a cell 200 cat if things go well with other jobs I need to do.
Anyways, I'm in Stoke-on-Trent and can travel a reasonable distance to collect.
I do have my eye on a manifold in Derby but I'm still waiting to get confirmation from the seller that the line I see on the pics ain't a crack. :pigeon7:

Update: The manifold on fleabay has been confirmed as cracked

The exhaust manifold part # listed for a Vectra B SRi 150 is 24438033 (which is the same for Astra G, Zafira A and VX220 with the Z22SE).

The first manifold listed definitely has a crack.
Both manifolds you listed have a part # of 24438032 but that is not listed in EPC :confused: (I guess it may fit as it looks similar).
The Z22YH has a catalyst integrated in the manifold.

Damn Figo, if I don't get something closer I'd definitely try and arrange something and thanks vocky, I did see a yh in the breakers yard and soon realised the difference. It's surprising people don't have more knowledge of the items they sell.
Kevin does that mean the 53 plate 2.2 petrol (z22se) astra G in my local breakers will fit?? He tried putting me off saying the cat is different, no shit sherlock! (n) but isn't it on the downpipe that's bolted to the manifold?!?! That's what I thought so I've tried a different tact & it could save me a few quid 😉 I've a breakers (not that far tbh) who has a vectra B z22se coming in the next few days but quoted me £40-50 plus vat :woot: but the local breakers (incidentally they're a Vauxhall breakers, now all scratch your head :whistle🙂 where the astra G is currently sitting, I got my daughter in law to ring them and they instantly checked, said they could remove it for her and only for £30. 🙂 shows just what a man will do, in the rain, for a pretty voice. :cool:

I did see that listing for the manifold vocky and sent the seller a best offer, my first listing on the op is now a pump. I think the seller pulled the original ad for the cracked manifold after I'd rang to confirm that it wasn't "in good condition"

Yes, if it's from an Astra G Z22SE I'm pretty sure that it would fit.
The Vectra B SRi 150 (Z22SE) has a precat fitted to the downpipe just after it bolts to the manifold, then the first oxygen sensor followed by a flexi section, then the catalytic converter followed by the second oxygen sensor.

For info EPC lists the Vectra C with Z22SE having a manifold with integrated catalytic converter (manicat) part # 24407027 or R1620064 exchange (same part # as Vectra C with Z22YH)

Thanks Kevin, I did see the cat bolted to the manifold on the astra G and I was almost sure it was the z22se engine but couldn't see enough and with a few bits missing looked odd, that and the astra being a few years newer, but it definitely looked like a manifold without any sensors or cats. He showed me a yh in a vec c with manicat and another manifold with a lambada sensor (n) I knew what I was looking for and the idiot didn't want to admit he was wrong, so now I'm off to collect my daughter in law to make sure I get the price promised, she can ring ahead to make sure it's off the vehicle. 🙂

I'm aware of the precat in the downpipe on my vec B, or the lack of it. 😉

Quite a few people drop the front downpipe and knock out the precat which helps the engine rev better, but you have to be careful to ensure no fragments drop down the pipe into the main cat and knacker it. I know if you have to replace the downpipe (all one section), that a genuine GM one comes with the precat, but some aftermarket downpipes don't. The precats have been known to collapse and cause all sorts of problems.

Yea I'd checked previously whether it had a precat or not when I had to replace the flexi section and fortunately for me it appears someone had already removed the precat or replaced the downpipe 🙂
Well I sent my daughter in law in for it with £30 & one of the other guys said "I wouldn't have said that little for it, maybe £40-50" (n) :stop: luckily she had a fiver in her pocket & came out with the correct manifold for my z22se which I am in the process of fitting :sneaky🙁y)
So my advice, don't listen to the "expert" who strips Vauxhalls all day and send in a pretty lady to do the "dirty work" :happy:

They do usually sell for around £40-50 on eBay.
It's recommended to fit a new manifold gasket along with new studs and nuts, although the studs are sometimes awkward to remove from the cylinder head.

Part #'s are:

9230949 - Gasket, Exhaust Manifold to Cylinder Head
24418771 x 10 - Stud, Exhaust Manifold to Cylinder Head
11516076 x 10 - Nut, HEX M8, Exhaust Manifold to Cylinder Head
