ZippyZafira Have a car here where the starter motor randomly whines but will not crank Have replaced the starter 3 times with no joy Noticed the car also seems to have an extra earth strap so i moved that and still no joy Any ideas? Relay?
vocky you could try bypassing the wiring as a test, so just use a 12v supply to switch the solenoid on the starter motor
