engine help!

Hi all

I have what i think is an egr valve problem. the orange check engine light comes on and the car is in limp mode.
can anyone tell me or direct me to how i would find and remove the valve for either cleaning or replacing?

hi danny the egr valve is at the end of your cylinder head above your gearbox, I'm guessing it is a z22se engine, have a look on ebay put in z22se egr valve blank , it shows you the egr valve so you what you are looking for in your engine bay , you could take it off and clean it with brake and clutch cleaner, take your battery leads off your battery for 10 minutes , this will clear the light on your dash but it will still be logged on your ecu,,,

If you have a Zafira direct then it will have the Z22YH engine, of which only the earlier ones had an EGR fitted. 🙂
