Yeah, mine does all that and lamp failure too, but I would have to think that Vauxhall would give you some sort of warning of low oil level. I'm not sure, but maybe the same warning lamp that tells you if your oil pressure is low would also give an idication of level. I know on the older cars I've had that the oil pressure light would sometimes flicker when cornering hard and that would sort of give you an indication that maybe your oil level was low.
