E10 Ethanol Fuel

So who uses it and are you aware of the dangers to the Z22YH engine which cannot use it

I am using BP Ultimate at the moment as it is still E0 with zero ethanol but for how long and what will happen when this is not the case I am not sure

95% of all forecourts have 5% ethanol in there fuel

the z22yh would support small amounts as it uses viton seals on the injectors older cars with normal rubber seal would suffer after long term use

they may list the z22yh in that document due to the hp fuel pump they may not be viton seals in the pumps

I think this may be the answer @[deleted] as the bumph on the Ebay page for the guy who rebuilds HP pumps for YH's says that it an issue.

from my understanding ethanol to rubber is like copper grease to break caliper seals makes them swell like a nasty bug bite

Yes have seen that ad a Bosch unit, however when replacing mine my money would not stretch that far so had to go for a 5 month old continental unit for £150 and hoping that using BP Ultimate fuel will extend its life a bit

BTW evocarlos this is why I have not done the chains yet what I had saved had to be used on another HPFP but is still on my list of jobs to do
